Asia Jackson to Debut New Show for YouTube’s Bear Witness Take Action 3, Hosted by Common & Keke Palmer
Content creator Asia Jackson has joined the esteemed lineup of the third installment of YouTube Originals' Bear Witness, Take Action. As part of this groundbreaking project, Asia will premiere her new show, 'Tracing The Trend,' which explores the topics of cultural appropriation and the profound resonance of hip hop among Asian youth. Bear Witness, Take Action, hosted by Keke Palmer and Common, provides a platform for Black YouTube creators to share their perspectives on race, culture, and societal issues.
Bear Witness, Take Action is a special event series that amplifies the voices of Black creators, empowering them to delve into issues and stories from their unique perspectives. Keke Palmer and Common return as hosts, guiding the six-part series that showcases bespoke content centered around race, culture, and everything in between. The hosts engage in in-depth conversations with each creator, unpacking their pieces and exploring how their films aim to catalyze change in the world.
As part of the #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund, a commitment to uplifting Black creators and artists, Bear Witness, Take Action serves as a vital platform for their voices and stories. Asia Jackson, alongside creators such as Jacques Slade, Justin James, and The Grapevine hosts Ashley Akunna and Donovan Thompson, contributes to the powerful lineup of voices featured in this installment. Notable stars like Sterling K. Brown, Logan Browning, Smino, Tinashe, Dominique Jackson, and George M. Johnson lend their support, appearances, and personal stories in each short film.
